Journey School is chartered under the Capistrano Unified School District and gives placement preference to students who reside within its boundaries. The following items may be used to provide Proof of California Residency for the student’s address:
- Current gas, electric, water OR sewage bill – Must be the full bill, show the service address or location; current within the last 60 days and in at least one of the Caretaker’s names. We cannot accept DISCONNECTION, FINAL, OR SHUT-OFF NOTICES.
- Current mortgage statement – Must be the full statement, show the property address; within the last 60 days and be in one of the Caretaker’s names.
- Current lease agreement – Must identify the current address, tenant’s name(s), the terms (dates include) of the lease as well as the signature page with both LANDLORD AND TENANT signatures. We are unable to accept month-to-month lease agreements that are not dated within the last 60 days.
- Property Tax Statement – Must have at least one Caretaker’s name and the address.
- Voter Registration Card – This cannot be the application. It must be the actual card.
- Pay Stub – Must have at least one Caretaker’s name and the address.
- Letter from a Government Agency – This must have at least one Caretaker’s name and the address.
Adequate documentation is required to be given the correct lottery preference.
